Why would you be a member state of an organisation whose agencies you accuse of terrorism, whose schools you bomb, whose employees you murder at historic rates, and whose court orders you don’t listen to?
And why should this organisation welcome you as a “normal” member?
These questions only seem reasonable to ask when we look at how Israel has been behaving.
In my episode, I present three points as to why, among other UN member-states, Israel is an excellent case for suspension.
One, it’s the scale of its aggression.
Two, it’s what it’s been doing to UN agencies and their staff (in short: mass murdering, destroying, exterminating).
Three, it’s how it regards what the International Court of Justice (the UN court) has ordered it to do, giving just recent examples.
Then I present two ways how, historically, UN member-states can be expelled or suspended from the UN, de facto and practically.
I also invite you to sign a petition by CODEPINK to tell the UN to suspend Israel here.
This is my last episode this season: to demarcate the flow of my episodes, I will take a symbolic break.
Meanwhile, I invite you to watch my videos that have covered as much if not more what my podcast episodes have this season. You can find them on Instagram and TikTok. If you have appreciated my work, following me on social media (and on Spotify) is an amazing gift you could give me (not that you owe me anything; it’s quite the opposite).
As always: stay strong, check on others, and keep your heart open.

On Iran, (Ir)rationality, and Those Who Didn’t See Any Destabilisation of The Region in Israel’s Genocide
Remember when Iran used to be called an irrational, unpredictable actor? Well, I invite you to notice any changes when it comes to irrationality, constructed narratives, and how war propaganda looks these days.
On One of The Gravest Crimes against Humanity That Not Every Country Chose to Condemn at The UN
The UN just voted to describe the transatlantic slave trade as ‘the gravest crime against humanity’. Yet not every country, according to its vote, agrees. My commentary is on what the abstentions show.
Your Antiwar Voice Is Needed More Than You Might Think
The war machine won’t stop until it’s stopped, just as its propaganda won’t just disappear on its own. It was to be actively pointed to, deconstructed, and rejected as loudly as possible. And this is where everyone’s voice matters.
