On Syria And Cynicism

On Sunday, something literally unbelievable happened: the murderous regime of Bashar al Assad fell.

It’s what so many people in Syria and abroad have been waiting for 14 years, some – for decades.

You might have seen the videos of people rejoicing. You might have also seen comments critical of that joy.

My episode is precisely about those comments. It’s on cynicism that I’m inviting you to reject.

Please listen to it now.
Please get in touch with your Syrian friends. There’s just no way it’s not a highly emotional time for them ❤️

As promised, here’s a video with more analysis on Syria. You’ll see Jeremy Scahill, an investigative journalist whose moral compass has been steadily pointed toward justice for decades.

Find a whole library of analysis on Syria at Democracy Now!, here.

And now, some videos that the cynics will tell you to disregard; they will tell you this doesn’t matter:

And as always: stay strong, check on others, and keep your heart open.

❤️💔❤️
