“Babies on incubators begin to die.”
This is the news from Gaza today.
It’s a sentence that’s difficult to read. It’s even more difficult to understand – and imagine – what it actually means. Where we have arrived. Where Israel has arrived.

I will be recording a podcast episode with deeper analyses on what we’re seeing, but my thoughts – not just initial but something I was unwilling to express before – on this news are the following:
THIS IS that abyss people have been warning Israel is moving towards.
THIS IS that moral failure of our leadership.
THIS IS that infinite debt of humanity we owe to our Palestinian friends.
We will never forget what our leaders were silent about or, even worse, what they supported.
“Babies on incubators begin to die.”
I know it’s very difficult, but this is when we write, march, and support each other.
I don’t think my hope was ever in governments, only people.

An Interview on Iran and Israel You Have to See
This is an absolute must-watch: Jeremy Scahill, one of the few journalists who interviews and is trusted by various actors, including the Iranian government, talks to Samir Mohyeddin about the U.S.-Iranian negotiations and Israel’s “fragile ceasefires” in Gaza and Lebanon. It’s a conversation good for our brains and conscience.
When Words Become Both The Representation And The Represented
The simplest propaganda technique – blatant lies – might be all that Israel and its supporters have left in their toolbox. Yet words with no meaning is what our leaders, too, have been resorting to for years now, following Israel itself.
Israel: The Only Country Whose Actions Never Represent Itself
If it is not its ministers, navy, police, prison guards, people marching on the streets, nor settlers protected by the army, who, then, actually represents Israel?
