Don’t Silence Yourself – Start Speaking Out (Free Workshop Inside)

With everything that’s happening in the world, you might have decided that it’s time to share YOUR ideas with the world – and take it to the next level.

It’s so clear the world really needs changing, and we can’t do it if we’re silencing ourselves.

That’s why, I’m sharing with you – completely for free – a workshop I created earlier this year.

So how do you navigate this workshop?

Before you start my video, please please please download this PDF below or at least have it open and journal about the questions I’ve gathered for you. You can do it now, as you’re watching my video, or after – as long as you actually do it!

Once again, it’s really not enough just to “think about it”: if you’re really about that clarity, you have to fill in it. This is where the magic lies 🎉 And hey, if you’re too lazy to do THAT (ouch), starting a creative project might be more difficult than we’ve thought:)

Then, as promised, you can explore free platforms and other resources that can help you start your project right away!

  • WordPress – one of the original blogging platforms; that’s the one I’m using!
  • Medium – a free content-sharing platform. You can use it instead of your own website, so no need to worry about your domain (not at first at least).
  • Substack – also a free content-sharing platform. You can also create paid subscriptions to monetise your content when you’re ready (it’s not required though).
  • Canva – a free online graphic design platform. I – and millions of others:) – love it; it’s super easy to use and has lots of templates. I use it for all of my visuals.
  • Remove.bg – since you can only remove backgrounds from pictures on Canva Pro, this free website can quickly do it for you.
  • Movie Maker Online – a very simple movie maker platform. I’m guessing your computer has its own in-built software for video editing but if it doesn’t, there are free ones online, don’t worry. I myself used to edit a little bit back in university so I easily find “simple” types of software a bit annoying because, according to me, “things are missing!”, but even simple video editors can get the job done:)
  • Spotify for Podcasters – this is where you launch your podcast! This platform distributes your podcast to different podcasting platforms, including Spotify.
  • Audacity – a simple audio editing software. It doesn’t look very “modern” but for basic audio editing, it’s not bad at all.

“But Justina, so how do I actually start?”

A fair question!

Here’s how.

I know I’ve just talked about the importance of NOT patronising your audience and please don’t think that it’s what I’m about to do in my next section.

What I’ll do here, is use very simple language to show you how not complicated the steps to start your project actually are. Things only look complicated before you start doing them.

So please see how…not fancy these processes are:

To start writing:

  • Choose a platform where you want to write;
  • Choose the name for your project;
  • Go and write your first article!

To launch your podcast:

  • Register on Spotify for Podcasters;
  • Choose the name for your project;
  • Download an audio editing software (or use the default one on your computer or even a recorder on your phone!);
  • Plan and research your episode;
  • Record it in a relatively silent environment;
  • Upload to Spotify for Podcasters;
  • Tip: Your podcast art can be something very simple – you can always change it later!

To create videos:

  • Record yourself on your phone or computer (or find the material you will be using);
  • Choose your video editing software;
  • Edit your video;
  • Post on Youtube! (you can create several accounts there if needed)

To create visuals:

  • Register on Canva;
  • Explore it and get excited!
  • Put together your visual (don’t be afraid of templates; they’re there for a reason:);
  • Don’t compare it to what professional designers can do:)
  • Export it and share it with the world!

That’s it!

You can’t say it’s complicated: it might be time-consuming, yes (especially podcasting), but it’s nothing you wouldn’t be able to figure out.

Because remember:

If it’s important enough, you’ll do it.

Don’t forget your why.

Don’t forget what that mission bigger than your ego is and who you stand with ❤️

And now, go and create!

And shoot me an email if you have any questions or would like to share with me what you’ve started – that would be so so cool!

Justina
