Israel’s wilful killing of the children of Gaza has been documented for months; before its genocide – for years.
There seems to be no limit, no low, to the brutality of its military, guided by its Fascist government.
I have written and recorded about it myself for years. It is embarrassing to admit how my previous work (pre-genocide) seems insignificant in terms of the level of destruction of young lives described — though it is never ever insignificant to talk about it.
In the middle of various reports on how the children of Gaza are being exterminated by Israel (see my previous article with resources here), recently a piece on this topic came out in the mainstream media. It was on CBS News.
Since it’s only available in English, I have just recorded a commentary on it in Lithuanian here (if you happen to be a Lithuanian speaker, I encourage you to share it with your community).
Since you’re reading THIS article in English, I invite you to watch this piece here.
Sniper shots to the head.
Bodies of children shredded into pieces.
Level of carnage never seen before.
“They were not able to talk, paraplegic. They were literally lying down as vegetables on those beds. They were not the only ones. I saw even small children with direct snipershot wounds to the head as well as in the chest. They were not combatants, they were small children,” – Dr. Fozia Alvi tells The Guardian in an article released this April. It’s just one of the horrific stories of what doctors coming back from Gaza have witnessed.
The moral abyss of the Israeli forces has no limits. Its fall is infinite. Its brutality unmatched.
If this is not a red line for those who still choose to stand by the Israeli government, my mind truly can’t handle the question of what that line might be.
Sniper shots to the heads of children (something Palestinian children have known for decades; something some people might heard about just now). Bodies shredded to pieces. Amputations that can end in death since the whole healthcare system has been destroyed by the occupier.
I hope that you have a red line and that you choose not to appease the ones who don’t.
As always: stay strong, check on others, and keep your heart open.

I’ve removed the option to support my work from this post. Instead, I invite you to contribute to my fundraiser to translate Where Olive Trees Weep, a beautiful movie on Palestine, to Lithuanian (my native language), so it’s available for broader audiences at home.

On The Global Sumud Flotilla, What The World with Israel in It Looks Like, And What It Does to Our Nervous Systems
To exist in the world where Israel, too, exists – to physically be and function in such a world – is hard on our nervous systems. The new horrors of the kidnapping of Thiago Avila and Saif Abu Keshek are yet another reminder of how that heaviness won’t go away, as long as Israel -…
How Did Jon Stewart Miss The Greatest Piece of Satire on His Show?
Here’s a reminder that choosing to interview someone who history – and, hopefully, the ICJ – will remember as a war criminal and a genocide enabler, like Annalena Baerbock, is very much not cool. Especially when you have a massive platform.
