It’s been difficult to accept what we’ve been seeing for a whole year. I think to keep on going, all the resources are needed.
For me, one of them has been one specific podcast, not afraid to point to the absurdity and grotesque of all of it.
Bad Hasbara – that’s the name of the podcast. And just this week, they had an episode with one woman I couldn’t admire more: Naomi Klein.
I’ve been actively pointing to those whom I call informed voices of conscience this year and my goodness, Naomi Klein – a scholar, author, activist – is definitely one of them.
Watch this episode for some creative, intertextual, and just proper deep insights into what we’re seeing now in Gaza, how Israel came about, what psychological tools and narratives are needed to sustain this Zionist project, and why we have to be nice to those who are in our community (spoiler alert: as Naomi Klein puts it so beautifully, for some, that is the only community they have).
As we brace for the return of comments of those who have been silent on – or who have been supporting – the mass murder that has been happening in Gaza daily this October 7, my wish stays the same:
Stay strong, check on others, and keep your heart open.
In fact, Naomi Klein and the hosts deconstruct what we will be seeing on this October 7 so eloquently: how the superiority of the victims will be emphasised by those who want to exploit their deaths.

Hind Rajab was killed by Israeli forces two years ago today – and that is one of the threads of history that I talk about in my essay-like video. It’s about fascism, its victims, the heaviness of witnessing these horrors, and how we can move forward.
On U.S. State Violence: A Continuation, Not a Rupture
The recent murder of Alex Pretti by ICE agents is one painfully clear indication – or, rather, a reminder – that in the U.S, the violence abroad has come back as fascism at home.
After Having Enabled It for Decades, The EU Is Appalled by U.S. Imperialism — Only When It Threatens Its Shores
After having enabled U.S. and Israeli military aggression around the world, notice the EU appeal to international law when the territorial integrity of Denmark is threatened by the U.S.
