I’ve had it wrong all those years.
And not just the colonial / white feminist language for which I apologise.
I’ve had an epiphany recently that came to me in very simple language. It reminded me who is sheltering (“saving”) the humanity of whom.
It also confirms whose humanity – of those who do have the knowledge, of those who actually do have the privilege of having access to information – might have gone out.
