You might have seen two pieces of news of very unequal importance this week coming out of Palestine.
One is Israeli soldiers doing yoga to treat their PTSD, a video published on International Yoga Day.
The second one is the findings of the UN inquiry, concluding that the genocide in Gaza continues as the Israeli army is deliberately targeting children.
These two pieces of news seem to be emerging from two different universes. And, in a way, they are.
Here are my comments on how to make sense of it.
Stay in the universe where compassion, critical mind, and international law still mean something.
Stay in the universe where mental gymnastics isn’t needed to function day to day.
Stay in the universe where you keep and protect your own humanity by refusing to dehumanise others.
As always, stay strong, check on others, and keep your heart open.
